This is a link to an article Inside Higher Education. The article discusses the work of economists at Ohio State University who "found a strong correlation between grades in a course and reviews of professors, such that it is clear that students are rewarding those who reward them."

  1. So, the lesson is to make students think that they will receive high grades prior to the evaluations. Then, make the final very hard so you get a normal distribution.
