I believe the division name developed when Humanities and Philosophy joined the Social Sciences. I think "Anthropology and the Social Sciences" would be much better since this would put us at the beginning of the alphabet. We may get more funding since everything is always gone by the time our turn.
Here is an alphabetical idea. I am not good with acronyms but we should consider creating one for our division. A is for Anthropology C for Chicano Studies and so on... We would end up with the following letters: A, C, C, E, E, H, P, P, S. Someone should put these letters together and come up with a new division name.
