If you are thinking of teaching online, you have to watch this great video from Blackboard. At my previous schools which used Blackboard, I had used the performance dashboard to track student behavior online. However, Blackboard has added this great new feature called the early warning system.
The system looks interesting. I used to do this in WebCT simply by sorting gradebook items, something that the current version of Blackboard does not allow.
