Riopedia A Collaborative Idea

I have a dream, but before we get to my crazy idea let's look at Rio Hondo's Mission Statement.
The Rio Hondo Mission Statement states:

"Rio Hondo College is a collaborative center of lifelong learning which provides innovative, challenging, and quality educational offerings for its diverse students and community."

Here is my idea for writing the next Accreditation self-study report. My idea/dream will foster this collaboration. So what is my idea?

Let's start a peer production network! What is that?
Basically a Wiki space for writing our next self-study.
What is a Wiki?

"...a collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified ... Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. "

Here is another use for this technology. The latest Governance manual could be placed online as a Wiki and committee chairs could update the manual across the campus.
To prevent Digital Vandalism the program has to be closed to outside editors, so only Administration, Classified, Faculty and certain student groups could change sections assigned to them.
You think this is a crazy idea? Well read the following from McKinsey Consulting group's site What Matters:

"American intelligence agencies use a platform called Intellipedia to pool knowledge in a coherent database. The US Army’s Company Command platform allows company-level commanders to share experiences. "
