Here is a use of the Internet that I had not known about. It is a service by Amazon where employers and workers can find each other for piece work. You can make money completing various tasks.

The service gets its name from an 18th-century chess-playing "machine" that actually had a person inside moving the chess pieces.

I can not decide if this is an exciting use of the Internet or scary flattening of the world, which means falling income and standard of living.
