Checklist Manifesto

I was listening to the Harvard Business Review on i-Tunes U and heard an interview with Dr. Atul Gawande M.D. In his latest book The Checklist Manifesto , he argues due to problem of extreme complexity in most processes the use of checklists can reduce complications due to break down in communication.
I was intrigued by his argument and have ordered his book from Amazon. I wonder if his recommendation of creating checklists can benefit our college.
I imagine a checklist for Faculty, Classified and Administrators to use when changing curriculum or any other standard operations.
The question will be who is going to create the checklist?
