In today's Whittier Daily News, there's an article about the next batch of budget cuts that affects the California Community Colleges system. The reporters contacted three area colleges: Citrus College, Mt. San Antonio College, Rio Hondo College.
Mt. SAC President Bill Scoggins remarked that "the school has already been making plans to deal with earlier budget cuts and anticipated some additional shortfall."
Citrus College's President is quoted saying "At a time when many students are struggling to complete their educational goals, this additional reduction of revenue will further limit the ability of Citrus College to meet student demand for classes and student support services."
What did Superintendent Ted Martinez, Jr. have to say about the continuing crisis?
