Outstanding Student Awards

I just returned home from the Outstanding Student Award ceremony. Every year the faculty in each discipline are asked to nominate a student in their discipline. As I watched these students come up to the stage with their family cheering them on my faith in my chosen profession was renewed. I am proud to be a teacher who encourages students as they pursue their dreams. Finally, I am proud of the staff both classified and faculty in the Library who have been taking a little out of their paycheck each month to give each and everyone of these outstanding students a small scholarship. I would like to thank these students and my colleagues in the library for reminding me why I teach.
