Subject: TMJ Retirement Video Project Interviews Filming May 24

Below is an email sent by Sandy Sandello, Executive Assistant to the President, to selected people.  Maybe those involved in the project would like to hear from others.

You are invited to participate in a “farewell” video project to honor Ted Martinez, Jr., Ph.D. upon his retirement.  The video will be shown at a retirement celebration June 21 at the Clarke Estate, Santa Fe Springs.

A video production team will be on the Rio Hondo College campus Thursday, May 24, to film short clips to include your on-camera interview.  In general, the interviewer will be asking you to respond to inquiries such as the following:  What, in your opinion, is his lasting legacy? What were some of his key accomplishments and why did they make a difference? What kind of impact did he have personally and professionally on students, staff, faculty, the local community, the nation?  Why is he considered a role model in academia? What would campus/academia life be like without him? Of course, you may have your own specific comments, which you are invited to discuss with the interviewer.

We hope you will agree to participate in this exciting and important project.  If you are available, please let Sandy Sandello  (ssandello@riohondo.edu)  know which appointment time(s) would best work for you on May 24.  Please select a first and second choice.  The interviews will take place in the Rio Hondo College Board Room, adjacent to the President’s office in the Administration Building.
