Trapped in Time while Technology Moves

Today as I was Walking my dog and listening to the latest financial news on I learned of how some companies are trying to get us to use our phones to pay at the check out.
Next I looked at a site (won't say which site) on my little iPod and noticed nothing on this site works. I went to my desktop and to my surprise it worked.
Later I read in another financial newspaper (website Bloomberg) how Apple is planning an iPad mini which will compete with Amazon Fire protecting their market share of the tablet market.
Will we look back at the PC with nostalgia?
